In the third quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps apps on the Android platform in Central America showcased diverse performance trends. According to Sensor Tower's data, these apps experienced varying levels of weekly downloads and active users without generating revenue.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at about 119K in mid-August, followed by a gradual decline to around 84K by the end of September. Active users for Waze showed a consistent fluctuation, reaching a high of approximately 6.1M at the start of September before settling around 5.7M by the quarter's end.
Google Earth displayed a steady increase in downloads, reaching approximately 33.5K in the last week of September. Its active users, however, saw a decline from about 372K in early September to approximately 273K by the end of the quarter.
PASE experienced a downward trend in downloads from 24.8K at the end of July to around 9K by late September. Despite this, its active users peaked at roughly 266K in early September, indicating a resilient user base.
Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer saw a notable rise in downloads, hitting a high of 22.6K in late August, though this tapered off to about 12.9K by the end of September. Active users increased steadily from 28K at the start of the quarter to 36.6K in late August, before slightly declining to 29.7K.
Finally, Trucker Path: Truck GPS & Fuel showed a significant increase in downloads early in the quarter, peaking at 14.1K mid-July, then stabilizing around 5.9K by the end of September. The app's active users grew from 13K at the quarter's beginning to 23K by the start of September.
